As well as developing and producing our own content we also provide consultancy and producer services to other animation studios. These have included:


Unhinged (2015)
Barry was the producer for Los Angeles based Irish animator Tom Caulfield's short film debut Unhinged produced by Tom's company Studio Okinami. The film was funded under the Frameworks short animation scheme with funding from The Irish Film Board, RTÉ and the Arts Council.

The film premiered at the 2015 Galway Film Fleadh in Ireland where it also won the Best First Short Animation Award.

Miss Remarkable and Her Career, (2010)
This half hour animated film was a co-production between Lisbet Gabrielsson AB (Sweden), A Man and Ink (Ireland) and Bullitt Film (Denmark). It was written and directed by the Swedish graphic novelist Joanna Rubin Dranger. Galway-based studio A Man and Ink produced most of the animation for the project under the supervision of Jeremy Purcell. Barry O'Donoghue from Barley Films was the Irish Executive Producer on the project for the Irish co-producer.

The film premiered at the Annecy Film Festival in France in June 2010 where it won the FIPRESCI Award. It was funded by The Irish Film Board, the Danish Film Fund and the Swedish Film Institute.


The Secret of Kells, (2009)
Directed by Tomm Moore with co-direction by Nora Twomey this animated feature film was a co-production between The Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Les Armateurs (France) and Vivi Film (Belgium). Barry worked as a production advisor for the Irish co-producer Cartoon Saloon. The film was released in France, Belgium and Ireland in early 2009.

It has been widely screened at international film festivals, winning several awards, and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 37th ASIFA-Hollywood Annie Awards (USA) and Best Animated Feature at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood.
