The Film

Donkey is tired of his minimum wage job at the beach.

The film premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in Ireland on the 11th July 2009.

This film was produced under the FRAMEWORKS scheme with
the support of The Irish Film Board, The Arts Council and RTÉ.

The Director
Louise Bagnall graduated with a degree in animation from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), Dun Laoghaire in the summer of 2007. Her graduate film ‘Marmalade’ (2007) has screened at several Irish film festivals.

Louise joined Barley Films in 2007 to animate and direct the short film ‘Colour Contamination’ (2008).
'Donkey' is her second short film with the studio.
